I finally have a free moment to post an update and more than anything I want to put up some photos of one of our gorgeous girls (the littlest one, that is.)

However . . .

Jac rigged Photoshop so that I – a mere drunken monkey with a computer – could edit photos by myself.  It was a nearly fool-proof system.  But then he went and changed the settings for some work he was doing and I, for the life of me, can’t figure out how to find my settings.  And I’d ask my beloved, except he and Ellie are snoring together, both of them tuckered out after a long day.

Isn’t that the way it goes?

I am relearning some of the steps of the “plan and change” dance.  It was the most difficult part after Max, the realization that with an infant you could plan until the cows came home and then they would be awake or asleep or eating or pooping exactly when you didn’t want them to be.  It was excruciating for me – I wanted dependability and the only thing dependable was that I could depend on nothing.

Thankfullly, the good Lord worked patiently on me and each child meant an easier adjustment to change and a better understanding to the time and place for planning.  This time around, be it the staying home or just being number four, it seems much easier and less of a disruption to release and go with the flow.

So, I take things as they come.  And I’ll “plan” on posting pics the first chance I get to have Jac assist me with the computer.

Meanwhile, I’m planning on joining my slumbering babes, though I know the moment I lay down, a little girl will wake up. I will roll with the punches.

Now if only I could teach Philip this skill . . .
