I just happened to look around and realize it was the first.  Of AUGUST.

Oy.

But today was fitting for the first of the month. There were a lot of ‘firsts’ in this joint.

Like how I called into a radio show psychologist for the first time ever.  That’s where things are around here, folks, that’s where things are.

Ellie had her first go round in the ‘Berber King’ playground on her own.  She didn’t know how to play by herself and was afraid of the the ‘big boys’ on the stairs but she made it to the jet and that was success.

Jac drove a 15 passenger van.  They are huge.  My Lord, what have we done?

Gemma, who insists on talking over – LOUDLY over – Jac and I while we read aloud, made a serious connection tonight.  At the end of every chapter, Jac always says “Bum, bum, buuuuuuuum!” Tonight, as she bounced on Max’s lap, she ‘read’ a book to him.  She came to the end and said, “Bum, bum, buuuuum!” It was on repeat the rest of the night.

I have never, EVER caught barf out of anyone’s mouth into my hands until tonight.  Gemma+something fuzzy=puke in my hand.  Then she yakked into the toilet, also a first.

Good times.

Let’s keep it up, shall we?
