When the midwife laughs out loud each time she tries to listen to this baby’s heart or feel it’s position because “It’s sooo active!”, our stomachs lurch a little.
All because of this one:
She is a boundary pusher. Around 14 months, she was attempting to escape her crib. When out front, she makes a bee-line for the road. On top of the table is one of her favorite places to be.
So the Lake? The Lake was a dream come true.
Papa Chris called it by announcing that once she figured out the slide, we’d have to block it off. Sure enough, at 18 months, she was fearlessly teetering up the ladder and teaching herself to sit at the top and let go all on her own.
Unlike every other kiddo we’ve known, there was no hesitating, no insistence that someone catch her, no thinking twice. Down she’d race and then trot back to the ladder to do it again. And again. And again.
We’re in big trouble with this one, folks. BIG trouble.
I love this so much! (Be kind to your parents, beautiful girl…)
