You know that moment in It’s a Wonderful Life when George Bailey realizes he’s back?  He’s giddy and full of joy over everything he experiences.

“Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!”

That’s a little how it was for us this last week.

“Hello again, snow to shovel!  Hello again, baskets of laundry!  Hello again, you wonderful old smelly house!”

Now you want me to say something about how this is a wonderful life, right?

I have a cold ravaging my sinuses, so you can’t make me.  But it IS good to be home and we have all felt a little George Bailey-like over the last seven days.

We have been trying to get our feet back under us and find our groove so pictures and routines have been slim pickings.  Instead we have some leftover material from Cal-i-for-nye-aye. Below you will find pics of bagpipe lessons, our trip to a Faraday Lecture, the collection of kids from my high school besties, our trip to the Tuolumne River and other such things.

Left overs never looked so good.
