Summer means growth and harvest in these parts. How fortunate we are to have friends who work the land and are generous enough to share it with us.
A friend is getting married soon and is using wheat as a central theme. When the Trask’s offered her to come out and pick as much as she needed, I came pretty close to begging to go along. Thanks, Monica, for letting us come!
The day was spent waist high in wheat, exploring an old school house, visiting in the shade with Bridget, time in the pool for the kids, tractor rides, pets . . . non-stop fun! I had so many pictures of our lovely time that I had a hard time narrowing it down. I was whining about to Jac when he offered to fire up a slide show. Hurrah!
So, here you go. Don’t you wish you were here?
