It is a big day in a young man’s life when he acquires his very first library card.
You see, we’ve been working on getting the last name to look like this: ‘Daniel’ as opposed to this: ‘Danyul.’ We’ve also been working oh-so-very hard on lowercase printing. Who knew that took so much work?
So when we saw this:
we knew he was ready.
Off we went!
There was some waiting. And by some I mean lots and lots. Ellie was less than thrilled.
Then there was the lesson of red tape. Never too young to learn, I say.
This was followed by the moment of truth . . .
And then it was official!
If you come to visit, you can be sure you’ll be shown the card. He has arrived.
Max looks beyond happy to get his Library Card! My kids were just as happy when they got theirs. What a great right of passage for a child…something with their name on it, that they can use. Welcome to a new Responsibility Max…and many hours of reading! ENJOY!!!!
Congratulations Max! Libraries are the coolest places in the world, and you will be an official “patron” now. Enjoy every minute of the world of books!
love and hugs….Roxie
