What did you do with your Tuesday evening?
Hmm?
Oh, us? Well, you know, a little of this, a little of that . . .
Just moments after this
there was this
and lots and lots of blood. So we went to the hospital to do some of this
and get him one of these
Holy cats. Get a load of this
Oh, and then there was that
Then of course, more of this
And quite a number of these
It should be noted that he ended up with this, too,
There you go, just a little bit of this and that from the sddaniels.
*Philip, the kamikaze, took a spill at the end of the neighbor’s driveway. As he was carried up the stairs, bleeding down my back he howled, “I just turned too fast! Is it bleeding?” Oh, Lord, was it ever! As I put him in the car, he made a request for a book about crystals and gems and then didn’t shed another tear THE WHOLE NIGHT. Not one whimper, whine or twitch. He was such a trooper through it all! The doctor was most impressed and thankful for such a cooperative patient – it was his 4th set of stitches for the night, poor guy. He worked quickly and gently to get 2 stitches inside the lip and 6 more outside. Philip will go back in 5 days to have them removed. In the meantime we are trying to get the swelling down, going through lots of popsicles and looking forward to puting the front tooth that he lost under his pillow tonight. What an evening, what a guy!
What a trooper! And stressful for the rest of the family too.
I can’t believe you had the camera at hand and could document the whole event:-) All I can say is lucky choice of color for your blouse and the washcloth. I am sure it made it a little less scary for the Philster. Tell him we love him!
Poor boy…you know the tooth fairy leaves double if the doctor is involved and for poor Philip he should get something extra for stitches too!
Poor guy! Glad he was such a trooper! Hope he feels better soon and the swelling goes down.
I agree with Angie… he should get a bonus, but Papa Chris says no. Philip, Max, and Tess might think of the bonus as an incentive to try to wipe out a few more teeth.
Ask Angie or some of these other moms what the going rate is for the Tooth Fairy?
And, Papa wants to know if you think Philip should wear a Darth Vader helmet or a football helmet when he rides his bike???
our tooth fairy leaves one gold coin. so when Hannah had her widsom teeth pulled she netted 8 bucks.
at least give him a bean for the bean jar!
Ouch! I’m not surprised that Philip was a brave guy through the whole ordeal….wired tough! I hope the swelling goes down soon and the rest of the week is uneventful!
Lots of love……..Roxie
PS: I have had several trips to the ER with kiddos over the years…..never thought to have a camera along for the ride! 🙂
