The kids were so excited to go swimming at the hotel – literally drooling in anticipation. They were heartbroken we didn’t go the first night (late, dad left, splitting headache, etc.) and would not be reined in on Sunday. So we went to “check it out” when we got back at around 9:15. Stupid place left it open until 10!! Darn. (Did you know I hate swimming? I claim to be allergic to spandex. And dealing with my children and water – shudder!)
Anyway, as we were assessing the situation, I was pretty excited that they had a smallish kiddie pool that they could get into without me. Woo Hoo! It wass worth the effort to make a big deal out of it.
“Look, guys!!!! A kiddie pool!!! Just for you!!! Isn’t that awesome?!?!?!”
Tess: “Sweem Poo, Mama! See?”
Philip: “But mom? Are we “kiddies”?
I laughed until I cried. Soo funny to me. It wasn’t until Tuesday when he was explaining to Susan that they “got to swim in the Kitty Cat pool’ that I realized the seriousness of his question. Funny kid.
